In Japanese schools, students don’t take any exams until they reach grade four. They believe, at this age, there are far more important lessons to impart to children than those found on tests.

Proper behavior, respect to self and others are taught regardless of financial status.

It is all about fostering independence and simultaneously to work in a team. They are the janitors at their schools, they share responsibilities and take full charge of cleaning their schools.
